Oh boy, it’s been a very long time since I wrote anything on this blog of mine. Sorry! No excuses, but I had a lot going on in my life. However I won’t bore you to death by detailing everything that’s going on in my life at the moment. For those worried about me, don’t! I am doing fine. Anyways, I got the urge to write this post about my recent trip to the beautiful city of Perth. For those who don’t know where that is, look it up on the maps – it is the capital city of Western Australia. This post is really short, and one main reason is to mention a nice bloke I met whilst over there. Keep reading and you’ll know who I’m talking about.
To be honest I wasn’t planning to go to Perth, but with what’s going on in my life; I wanted to escape somewhere that had awesome weather. After browsing the web for somewhere to go that had nice and sunny weather, I picked Perth. Known to be one of (if not) the sunniest place on Earth, it did not disappoint. I went during the end of summer months, with a week before autumn.
Stepping out on the tarmac at Perth International Airport, I can smell the fresh air. I remembered when I researched the location, they mentioned the clean air. In fact, I even saw a presentation once; comparing the pollution level of Perth and some other cities around the world. It pretty much had no pollution. Check out a pic of Perth airport below:
Talking about pollution, I met someone by the name of Mark whilst in Perth. Met him at a local shop in Perth and somehow got talking about.. you guessed it pollution! Turned out he was very passionate about keeping the environment clean. So much so that he opened a skip bin hire business and ran the organisation with his wife Julie. He talked about how much he loves the city he lives in and made an effort to mention it in his business website. Yep a whole page dedicated to talking about Perth (link takes you to the specific page). Seriously, where else would you find a page dedicated to a city in a local business website? Awesome right?
We talked about his love for footy, what the locals call their beloved game Australian Football League. How much he loved the team Fremantle Dockers. With everything he said about the game, I really wished I could go to an actual AFL game myself! I might even come back just to watch a footy game. See, I’m even talking like an Aussie! On that note, I’d like to wrap up this post by saying I seriously urge all of you to visit Perth at least once in your life time!
